Daniel Craig, 44, hadn’t even been born when the first Bond film, Dr. No, was released in 1962.
Skyfall is the 23rd major film in the Bond franchise with Craig, doing his third Bond role. The others were a good Casino Royale and the forgettable Quantum of Solace.If you love action films you won’t be disappointed with Skyfall.

An usher at the theater said he liked the film, but there was something off, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.
And then he said,
“Bond wasn’t cool”.The Bond here isn’t the sophisticated, smooth, cool guy who could handle anything.
He wasn’t the character who always gets more beautiful women than any man could possibly hope for.
He didn’t easily defeat the bad guys.In other words some of Bond’s powers and mystique have been stripped away.
He does eventually save the British Empire once again from the forces of evil, but in an exhaustive, draining manner.
He no longer makes things look easy. Mortals get drained, not Bond.
More than one self-appointed critic has shown disdain for this portrayal of Bond, as if they had been betrayed.
A good action film, they say, but Bond is becoming more like a Jason Bourne.Several actors have played Bond. For those fans of the original Bond films, Sean Connery (7 films) was irreplaceable.
The Australian George Lazenby never could make much of an impression, starring as Bond in only one film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
According to some reports, Lazenby thought the hippie culture of the late ‘60’s and 70’s would cause the Bond “fad” to fade, and he didn’t want to be locked in to the character…
Big career mistake for Mr. Lazenby.
Roger Moore (7 films) played a most sophisticated Bond with a humorous edge in a number of the films.

For those of you who are familiar only with Daniel Craig as Bond, he does a terrific workman-like job.
He is good in that he seems believable.
You can see him drinking Heineken and, while looking well-tailored, never looking comfortable in a tuxedo.“Shaken not stirred”
could not easily roll off of his tongue.
Some of the allure of Bond is his being above the workaday world.He is an aging Bond in Skyfall, getting older and taking longer to heal, trying to maintain the stature of an age that has passed by.
The times may change, but the universality of the hero, fighting and triumphing over evil does not change.
Humanity doesn’t change that much.
Change the clothes, give him a face-lift, one hopes a brand like Bond keeps the appeal it first offered.In some way everyone loves a rogue.
There are several exotic locales here, Turkey, Shanghai, London and Scotland, where Bond grew up on his family’s estate called “Skyfall,”
The film pays homage to the Bond film heritage.
Nothing is more iconic than his Aston Martin DB5 sports car, famous for its ejector seat in Goldfinger. He gets it out of storage as he tries to get M played by Judy Dench, out of London and away from the evil rogue agent Silva who is intent on killing her.
